During the second OMEGA-NET Working Groups and Management Committee Meeting, Dr Kurt Straif, Section Head of the IARC Monographs Group, will offer a plenary lecture entitled “The significance of occupational cohort studies in cancer hazard identification and risk assessment”. Thereafter, the four Working Groups Leaders and Vice Leaders will offer a brief overview of the tasks before the parallel sessions of the afternoon.
The following plenary sessions will focus on Short-Term Scientific Missions, occupational cohorts in Canada, occupational health cohorts at NIOSH and potential conflicts of interest, among other issues.
On the last day, some talks will focus on occupational cohorts from Australia and New Zeland, just before the closing plenary meeting.
