At the end of August, the OMEGA-NET Project was presented in the 11th edition of the ISES-ISEE 2018 Joint Annual Meeting, that is the annual appointment for experts in exposure science and environmental epidemiology, including scientists and practitioners from academia, government, industry, and non-governmental organizations.

Under the theme of “Addressing Complex Local and Global Issues in Environmental Exposure and Health”, the meeting organised by the International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) and the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) took place in Ottawa (Canada) and received 1,800 general abstract submissions and 400 symposium abstracts.

Within abstracts accepted for a poster presentation, Michelle Turner –vice chair of the project– and Manolis Kogevinas –leader of the Working Group 1– presented OMEGA-NET, that is the largest occupational cohort coordination worldwide involving many millions of workers.
