Cohorts with any information on occupation, industry, or occupational exposures are invited to be registered into the Inventory
7 April 2020
We are happy to announce that the OMEGA-NET Inventory of Occupational Cohorts has been launched in order to make an inventory of all active cohorts in Europe which can be used to explore occupation, work-related exposures, employment and health relationships. Gradually this tool will be expanded to include cohorts globally and will become a searchable web-based database to make the information easily accessible.
The inventory is primarily for research purposes but will also be useful for policymakers. Users can search for specific study types (e.g. occupational; industry-based etc.), exposures and outcomes, and extract information on the cohorts that have relevant data, as well as basic information on the methods used to collect data.
At this moment, users are invited to register cohorts with any information on occupation, industry, or occupational exposures — it will take no longer than 20 minutes to complete the inventory questionnaire.
At the end of the project, a publication will be prepared with an overview and description of European cohorts. Representatives from all cohorts included in the inventory will be invited to participate in this publication.
