As the COVID-19 pandemic slowed down the achievement of most of the OMEGA-NET (CA COST Action CA16216) objectives, both Research Coordination Objectives and Capacity Building Objectives, the Management Committee approved that the Action should formally request the maximum extension possible, including budget from COST, during the MC Meeting held on October 22, 2020.
This June, we are pleased to announce that our COST Action, “Network on the Coordination and Harmonisation of European Occupational Cohorts”, has been granted a 6-month extension: from October 26, 2021, to April 25, 2022.
An extension of the Action will help us achieve all the objectives and more specifically the dissemination and exploitation of results, to obtain more scientific publications, to led more young researchers to attend a training school, to organise a hybrid final Action conference —including Stakeholder session and scientific networking—, or to offer to more researchers the opportunity of having STSMs, including learning, networking and socialising with other researchers.
