Dr. Jean-Baptist du Prel, MPH

He is a medical doctor and occupational epidemiologist, and works as a senior researcher and lecturer in the Department of Occupational Health Science at the University of Wuppertal, Germany.

Beside primary and tertiary prevention, his research focuses on work-related stress and mental health. After several publications on this topic within the German lidA-cohort study and the Swedish WOLF-study, he is currently performing a scoping review together with other scientists in OMEGA.net.

He is one of the elected speakers of the working group Occupational Epidemiology of the German Society of Epidemiology and the leader of the task group 3.5 ‘Psychosocial influences on mental health’ within the framework of Omega.net.
